THE WAY WE WERE

Take a trip down the memories of Hong Kong – The Way We Were is a vast collection of photographs by Keith Macgregor, a throwback to Hong Kong’s prime: namely the 70s and 80’s.

Bursting with nostalgic street scenes, sights steeped in colonial and local culture, city panoramas and images of everyday life. The Way We Were expresses a city dancing with colour, it showcases diversity and an optimism. This documentary series and flashback shows a time where the ‘Hong Kong Dream’ was forged, and people went ‘all in’ on the game of life.

Macgregor, now over 70 years old is currently based in London, however still regularly returns to the city he called home for over three decades to continue to capture its ever-changing landscape. Keith will be present at the exhibition and will give talks, sharing his personal tales of Hong Kong. For those who wish to remember and for those who maybe don’t, nonetheless The Way We Were will transport you to a now vanished world.
